Simpson was well-known for her friendship with Nick Lachey and her wedding to him. Simpson also appeared on the reality television show on MTV, Newlyweds, Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Simpson's first Christmas album ReJoyce was released in 2004, and was certified gold. She made her debut on film in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) as Daisy Duke. The soundtrack of the film also included the cover song "These Boots Are Made For Walking". In 2006, she debuted her fifth studio album A Public Affair and appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. Simpson moved into country music after the release her sixth album Do You Know (2008). Simpson created The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005. It was a fashion-focused line with 34 categories of merchandise. It is the most profitable known celebrity licensing company with more than $1 billion in profits to this point. In 2010, she appeared in the reality TV series The Price of Beauty. She also judged fashion-related designs for Fashion Star's two seasons between 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson with whom she has three children.
